Things are not perfect and the Libyans have a very very long road ahead of them but this is such heart warming news from a Libyan newspaper. The people are at last tasting the freedom from gaddafi and his cronies for the first time in 42 years. We have all been remembering those killed and celebrating freedom from dictatorship from yesterday, not sure when everyone will be finished. :D

Here's another article all are from Libyan sources as some of the west's reporting over the months was negative at times. They have a long way to go but they have their freedom now and I think they would anyone a hard time if they tried to take it away from them, whoever they are and wherever they are from.

Thankyou to those that read my posts, I just wanted everyone to see a little into what was really happening in Libya sourced actually for the most part from Libyan sources.
I must say that a lot of the truth has been coming out and some news sources and commentators in the west have had to eat a little humble pie. My friend told me about an incident previously on newsnight where an analyst had to admit he was wrong about Libya. Must say you got to respect the guy as at least he owned up to it many of which would not! :)

Coralann,
You either; really do not have a clue, or,
are a shill trying to help suppress true news.

Gadaffi was and is a hero to his people. The "Libyan sources" you cite are NTC rat-owned and run propaganda outlets.

To see why Gadaffi had to be taken down, watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DawvDXiay3o&feature=related

And to read about the majority of the LIbyan people fighting back read http://libyasos.blogspot.com.au/2012/02/report-libya-18-february-2012.html

If you have bothered to read all my posts you will see that I have close ties to Libya and what you know about Libya is just not the truth. I am married to a Libyan (33 years), lived in Libya, all my family and a lot of friends are in Libya and I have lived many times in Libya and have seen all the things that gaddafi done to his people there, even things have happened to my family there, I have actually experienced and seen it all with my own eyes. Please take a second to look through my info or just carry on believing what you wish blindly! You're info comes from the pro gaddafi lobby, he's dead get over it and Libyans have their freedom for the first time in 42 years! Can I make it any clearer to you?

LYM (Libyan Youth Movement) on facebook has many Libyans and western people on there that could see through the lies of gaddafi on day one. Please inform yourself and please do not insult me with your lack of knowledge on Libya!

I'm not denying there are/were dis-enfranchised LIbyans who ere unhappy with Gadaffi's rule, as there are in any country.

The facts however speak for themselves... massive improvements in literacy, cheap housing, fuel and food... free health care, the manmade river project, the various UN indicies showing the high living standards, etc.

What about the massive pro-Gadafi rally in Tripoli with well over 1 000 000 LIbyans and the massive green flags? (a third of LIbya's population in one place supporting him for goodness sake.
What about the people's committees setting the laws of their own country? Sure beats our so-called 'democracy'.

And from the reports I have seen, the 'rebels' were all well-armed and murderous, viscously attacking police stations and the like... doesn't sound like peaceful demonstrators to me.

So are you saying LIbya is better off now with DU poisoning, bombed infrastructure, ten of thousands dead and being run by a murderous NATO backed regime?

Gaddafi had to go because he was going to start selling oil and trading across Africa in a gold-backed currency, something the Rothschilds et al simply could not afford to happen.

Thousands were killed and missing by gaddafi's troops, DU not sure about that as yet and NATO didn't bomb the infrastructure and didn't cause thousands to die.

I trust my on the ground sources which are family and friends rather than the western media as I know which is the truth, as I said I have actually witnessed many things in the past while living there. Please try to see the bigger picture but I think it is hard because of so much disinfo, it's all very complex and I don't really blame people but to me if you stick by gaddafi you are just siding with a ruthless tyrant ( which was no doubt he was put in by the west though). I am lucky as I live here at the moment but for many it was truely a nightmare, but as I said once started they couldn't go back as all the people that demonstarted ( people I know etc) they would have been picked up afterwards although many were at the time as well. They still don't know where thousands are that were taken away by gaddafi's forces, like I said you don't know all the facts. 8-)
