Hi all
Here is a quick draft of an email I will be sending to my MP

On THIS MONDAY, 24th October the House of Commons will debate the following motion: "This House calls upon the Government to introduce a bill in the next session of Parliament to provide for the holding of a National Referendum on whether the United Kingdom should remain a member of the European Union, leave the European Union, or renegotiate the terms of its membership in order to create a new relationship based on trade and cooperation
As I am sure you know around 80% of UK laws are now made by the EU, I can only assume you are not a fascist & will do the right thing & vote yes to a referendum against the EU dictatorship, even the signatory to the Maastricht treaty John Major, has realised his ignorance & made a statement that we must get out, The Euro is a dismal failure & I am sure you will not want to tell your Grandchildren in the future that you voted for the UK to be dragged down with the EU
Do what is right Monday by a yes vote.....

Here is your local mp finder
http://findyourmp.parliament.uk/
& below is further reading, from UKIP but regardless of who you vote for, if you think the UK in the EU is wrong then please act & spread this far & wide

Wednesday, 19th October 2011

“Tonight’s decision to bring forward the debate and vote on having a referendum on our membership of the EU smacks of blind panic in Downing Street,” said Nigel Farage MEP the leader of UKIP.

The vote had been scheduled for Thursday next week but has now been brought forward to Monday because David Cameron and William Hague are to fly out to Australia.

“The plain fact is that the Prime Minister is horrified at the momentum that is growing across the country for such a vote. Despite him ordering a three line whip he does not have the confidence that it will work without him there to twist arms personally," Mr Farage said.

"Rather than delay the vote until he had returned from the Commonwealth meeting he has brought it forward. He has done this simply to try to stem the flow of ordinary members of the public trying to persuade their so called representatives to do just that, represent their views”, he said.

Despite this change of date, UKIP voters will be outside and inside the House of commons in force."

Earlier this week, Mr Farage said he holds little hope of a 'Yes' vote in the EU Referendum debate.

"Having this debate in Westminster is a good start, but with all party leaders demanding that their MPs reject the motion, I hold out little hope of a yes vote," he said.

"The timescale is deliberately short to make it hard for people to lobby their MPs, and the space for debate on such a massive issue is limited.

"The real debate is going on out there in the country, in people's homes, businesses and pubs.

"We know from many polls that a vast majority of people want this referendum, we learn next week how many of the MPs have the courage to support their constituents.

"I urge everybody to write to their MPs as soon as possible, they must be made aware of the strength of feeling on this matter. You can do so via http://www.theyworkforyou.com or directly to the House of Commons.

"I also call on Ed Miliband and his party to vote in favour of a referendum to apply the maximum pressure possible on David Cameron. This is Ed's chance to show that he is in tune with the British people and is a proper democrat."

The motion to be put to the House of Commons on October 24 reads:
"This motion calls upon the government to introduce a bill in next session of Parliament to provide for the holding of a referendum on whether the UK should remain a member of the EU on the current terms, leave the EU, or renegotiate the terms of its membership in order to create a new relationship based on trade and cooperation."

Edit; Mine has been sent!

Do these politicians think we really are so misinformed or do the actually believe there own lies?
Here is the reply I got

Thank you for contacting me about a referendum on Britain’s membership of the EU, which is due to be debated in Parliament on Monday. I note your points and I am aware of the strength of feeling on both sides of this debate. With UK polls showing 80%+ wanting out of the EU, do you mean the debate between the people & the public servants Chloe? I am a Euro-sceptic myself. Oh good so I can expect a yes vote from you?

As I have said in the past, I do not believe that now is the right time for a referendum perhaps not such a Euro-sceptic then Chloe? that would distract from the urgent job of getting Britain back on the course of sustainable and stable economic growth. Why not invest the 118bn we give to the EU every year in industry Chloe? Even during difficult economic times, Its by design Chloe, Britain continues to benefit from our trade links with Europe that are protected by our membership of the EU. We had trade links long before the EU Chloe & it didn't cost us 118bn p/a

The Prime Minister’s response to the call for a referendum is right and responsible, Despite the people want out & Cameron said NO that makes him a dictator and echoes the view that I have stated many times in the past. Ignoring the view of the people I understand that there is a third option proposed that would call for a renegotiation of the terms of our membership of the EU, but I believe the 3 way referendum as proposed is unclear. You people are too dumb to understand There have been a number of amendments proposed and so I will listen carefully to the debate.

I will of course continue to monitor the situation closely, whatever the outcome of the debate.

With best wishes,

Chloe

It seems we will have to wait till after 10pm for the results, back benchers are making trouble and David Cameron is not liking it. Guardian says in their poll that 49% would like to be out of the EU. Mind you I am not an expert on this so I am just going by what I am hearing here in London. Probably need to read up a bit more on this issue. It's good to do business with the EU or anyone else for that matter in the world and to help our neighbours but I would like us to be able to make our own decisions in the UK. If anyone has some more news on this subject it would be most welcome and I am sure very useful. Probably a good job we haven't got the euro but then we are in enough trouble so does it really matter? Like I said I have a lot to learn about this subject. 8-)

Conservative rebels caused a bit of a stir last night but here's the outcome.

Sorry if you don't like the Guardian, I don't like the media but usually have a look at the Guardian sometimes to see what's happening in the UK and around the world. I know that they are all in the same club as are some of the alternative news who would like you to think otherwise! 8-)

Cameron needs to go and a whole new system of government set up !
He to me is worse than Blair and i worry about what happened to his child was it a sacrifice for a power i really dont know and that worries me greatly !!!!

Why are we in the EU ? Makes no sense to me we should be trading within the commonwealth in my opinion and screw the EU

Sometimes you just got to wonder what on earth is going on, but then I guess the plan is to confuse and divide us. Non of the governments are helping the ordinary person, it's more like help yourself. We got a bumpy ride ahead I think and for sure they have their own agenda. Coalition would be good if the best of all of them would work for us people of UK but of course that is not their idea or at all on the cards. 8-)
