I want this issue to come to debate. Celibacy/ continence has been a great experience for me so far,

and I recommend everyone to practice it at one level or another.

The best way to get started is 1 month at a time, and then gradually increase the periods from there.

Although a lot of people are only celibate for 1 month at a time, they are still celibate.

Everyone must find their balance on this energy.

To me it is very clear how the powers that be are manipulating this energy towards the people in order

to distract them from what is true.

The understanding of celibacy is this:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ayurvedic Intro

Ayurveda is the knowledge of health and longevity which dates back thousands of years penned down in Sanskrit from Ancient India. The exact dates are difficult to pin down since Ayurveda claims to have come into existence along with humans as a means of instruction.
According to Ayurveda there is a system by which the body produces its necessities from food

Food through digestion becomes a type of pre-blood plasma

Pre-blood plasma changes through a more subtle digestion to blood

A part of blood through another process becomes muscle

An essence of muscle transforms into fat

An extract of fat transforms into bone

The meat of the bone transforms into marrow

And finally from a portion of marrow comes semen and other reproductive substances

According to the Ayurvedic understanding of the creation of body tissues (dhatus) it takes anywhere from 60-100 drops of blood to make one drop of semen.

So what? According to Ayurveda, semen in the body is essential for building the body and making it healthy. It is a fine substance that is actually in blood and then taken out by the testicles to be ejaculated. It is actually extracted when the body gets physically aroused and stored in the testicles. That is why one gets nocturnal emissions, one is thinking about sex subtly and not so subtly and then all the stored up semen gets discharged.

But here is the interesting thing. If the semen in the blood does not get collected into the testicles, it can transform itself into another substance, ojas.
Ojas is the most subtle of all “substances.” It gives a person their glow and good qualities like good health, bodily luster, stamina, inner strength, and a strong immune system. So why doesn’t “science” tell us this?

Where is the scientific study of two men, one who needs to wack his pud to go to sleep every night and the other who is happy and contented without polishing his rocket every day. So, strictly scientifically speaking, which do you think will be more healthy, optimistic, determined to do something with his life, satisfied, and strong? (and more attractive to the ladies?)

Based on what you feel like after you have just given your best friend a spit shine, what do you think the science would say?
Ayurveda concludes explaining how semen is extremely valuable and should not be wasted whimsically. And science upto a few years ago completely agreed with ancient wisdom like Ayurveda.

So i've actually done alot of research on this topic, but still don't know everything about it. I've decided recently I'd like to conserve myself for who consciousness's natural law has in store for me.
I have a keen feeling that i'm here, and she's out there, and we're both holographically preparing for our meeting by cleaning our shadows and getting our life habits rooted in alignement with divine will(rather than mind will),
When its right I know it'll just happen.
For the sake of dialogue on this subject though I'll just say that I am not currently sexually active and haven't been for over a year, I do have a very strong drive however, and I only "play" if both sides are mutual and detached. And I also constantly do creative activities and love to inform folks of the conspiracies and healing approaches.
I actually still do masturbate, you could say I tame the beast and absorb the energy up the chakras and down(circulating) and do NOT ejaculate while gently yogic breathing all through out, a bit personal I know!!!
I have decided that the next "play" to occur I will not ejaculate, but approach the same way I masturbate. Now I hope this isn't innappropriate for the forums to be so blunt(you can see the american guilt brainwash is still wearing off) but I would like to ask you 'celibacy' so is this form of masturbation without ejaculating still contributing to the "ojas"? I feel it is cause I feel so refreshed after and don't have any discomfort, strange symptoms, and rarely if ever have a night emission. I do feel healthier too. :new:
Any suggestion is appreciated.

Glad this subject is up and running, because i recently have been subjected to some great information regarding sexual retention.

I started learning at a very traditional kung fu school about 4 months ago and started getting very interested in the eastern philosophy of Chi etc... I've been an energy healer for about 1yr 3 months, and so these philosophies naturally fit in quite well to how i already understood energy. Though i must say that i think the eastern view more comprehensive then some of the information contained in the 'new age' movement. Hate using that term, for a lot of it is ancient information... But the eastern view is a lot more practical IMO and stressed the importance of Breath a lot more, which is definitely one of the biggest aspects in regards to personal energy. Not to mention a large focus on training and conditioning the body to be able to channel and transmute energy, rather than just meditating.

Getting on... I read the book Nei Kung: The Secret Teachings of the Warrior Sages by Kosta Danaos... because it relates to the school that i train in. Within the pages, he goes back through 'history' and points out that all of the virgins or people who abstained from sex for long periods, were able to generate amazing strength and powers far from that of other men, and many of them were seen as saints, demigods or gods. Athena, Samson... err can't recall any others right now... and can't find the book, it's around here somewhere... Either way, as man, we are able to transmute our sexual energy to achieve some amazing things, but dedication and certain internal energy cultivation techniques generally need to go hand in hand with sexual retention.

I personally feel a lot better if i don't eject too often.. which has been a bit of a challenge of late. A great test is to see how easy it is to get out of bed in the morning... comparing abstinence for 3 or 4 days, with ejaculation before bed.

But i do agree that semen is a very energetically potent fluid in the body, and takes a toll on the body to replace if it is continually waisted.

If i find that book i'll write some more about the historical stuff.

Almost hate to bump this old of a thread, but I consider this information to be pretty important. Many people seem to deny that porn, and what usually goes with it, can be addictive, or that the addiction can be harmful. Well, from personal experience, I believe that to be bullshit...

http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/cup ... ng-problem

http://www.yourbrainonporn.com

http://www.reuniting.info

Basically the theory seems to be that evolution hasn't prepared the brain for the massive amounts of internet porn that's readily available to almost everyone. Like anything else enjoyable in the short term, the dopamine release is said to be a major contributor, if not the cause, of this problem.

Many people seem to be reporting that after heavy use they're becoming less attracted to whatever they were attracted to before, and developing weird fetishes etc.

If we're never willing to admit that there's a problem, we'll never seek solutions...
