I just wanted to share some thoughts with you all here as since the Libyan issue started I have experienced and learnt a lot. I was looking back over my posts and realized that I have been using websites that now I have found not to be very gracious to the Libyan people. Their analysts and news reports etc are very much in favour for gaddafi even though they don't even know the true Libyan people and what has been happening to them for 42 years. You also have people such as Farrakhan and Cythia McKinny who have been singing gaddafis praises simply because he has given them and many others thousands of dollars of the Libyans money. I will list a few here of the ones that I found quite distasteful and not really showing how gaddafi was bombing his towns and cities and killing thousands of his people. The Libyans then took up arms to defend family and friends which they had no choice but to do something. A lot of the army defected as well as they were told to shoot their own people with no weapons, many soldiers didn't and carried on the brutal attack on civillians. I know nobody likes NATO but the Libyans were calling out for help to stop the bloodbath and the impending one that was going to happen in Bengazi. Arab countries should have come to their aid but as you all know it was left to the international community and a blood bath was prevented in Bengazi but then gaddafi and his minions swept through Libya and now it has ended up in Tripoli. Many people have been killed, massacred, murdered but the Libyans believe as Muslims do that all this is written and their loved ones have gone to a better place and if these people hadn't defended them who would have?
I will list the websites that I have found distasteful even though I use to use them, but no more will I go there for my information;
Rense, Alex Jones, David Icke, global research, infinate unknown, press Tv ( who seem to be on bothsides),BBC ( are a bit negative at the end of their reports, needless to say I don't bother with them either) their are more but thats just off the top of my head, don't get to watch the others. Whilst I know you have issues with some western media some done a good job of speaking to the Libyans themselves on the ground something that others didn't bother to do! Some journalists just sat in the hotel in Tripoli and parroted the news from the Libyans soldiers (minders), well that was helpful to us!! I am not keen on the western analysts though who just think they will be in charge once its all over. I have mainly kept to my Libyan sources whom I have many and would advice anybody to heed my warning and not believe everything you read and watch, keep an open mind and investigate to gain the truth. I have come to realize that western media and alternative media have an agenda and we should be very wary of this. One is playing the other off it seems to make us even more confused! If it wasn't for what happened in Libya I would never have realized all these things. I really do pray that Libya will overcome all their problems and make a new strong country with rights for all of its people, pay back the international community and start how they mean to go on and foster good relations with all once gaddafi and his troops stop fighting them. Thankyou for your time. 8-)

And now Libya will descend into an indebted society with all the benefits of the Western world. Sadly western governments have to meddle in the affairs of sovereign states. Libyan people were quite content living in one of the only debt free countries with the highest HDI of all of Africa.
Of course nobody cares that this country will descend into a sectarian battlefield that Iraq has become.

Read up on Qaddafi's plans for a strong African Union. Also his plans for a gold currency for the whole Arab and North African region. These are the things why he was so forcefully removed from power. In any country you can find people who while getting paid US Dollars will be inciting revolutions and other such dirty things.

It is also a sign for other dictators to stop meddling in world affairs. If they have their own little country they should stay there and not get too excited. This is the only consequence of the CIA's Libyan campaign that I see

I sincerely hope and pray that Libya does not go the way that you said. A lot of people are only seeing Libya from an outsiders veiw without understanding what it was like for the Libyans that lived there. I have been there many times and have seen what gaddafi did to the country and the people, a rather different story is painted if you are actually on the ground there. Their's a lot of propaganda out there and you really need some good contacts to get to the truth of the matter. Libyans were in a bad possition when gaddafi started bombing and shooting his citizens back in February and a lot of the Arab nations didn't come to their aid so they turned to the international community. I feel though that they will have to be very wise now as I know for sure that NATO etc have an agenda but the Libyans will succeed if they keep good principles and of course morals. Just seen on the news now about how UN has a plan for Libya ( a leaked document has been sent to media), I seriously hope the Libyans tell them 'thanks for your help but we will take it from here'!! Basically the US, NATO and UN want to be the police force of the world. 8-)

Been thinking a lot about Libya over the past 6 months and it has consumed my family like so many others. It made me realize a lot about where I get my news and info from and it has made me realize the propaganda and misinformation cogs are turning and I won't be visiting some websites any more. Most importantly I know that we are all being set up and more and more bad things will happen although if we look to the past the same could be said. I really hope and pray that the Libyans and all the other innocent citizens around the world make their countries a better place to live (people power) but on reflection they are up against some pretty evil people and even if the people think they have won its quite possibally an illusion so we all have to wake up a lot more than we are at the moment to find the truth. I sincerely hope that the good people of the world will fight against these unseen enemies and unite as it seems all people and countries are being attacked by the NWO plan. As Muslims we would say the Dajjal system, in English I guess you would call it the anti Christ system. Right now more than anytime we need a global conscienceness of goodness and try to spread goodwill to all oppressed peoples ( I suppose like Maxs ' Great Intension' have I got that right)? Sorry for the rambling and I hope I make sense as its been a long day which I expect you can tell?! 8-)

Not sure if you've seen this video or not....
Not sure what you think, but this video seems to represent the general opinion I find here on the street in Palestine.

Jamilah, I'll try to tell you a bit of what I know, theirs much much more than this though!
I have seen this video and their are many other propaganda videos around. It seems a lot of people, quite rightly so, don't like NATO and UN. I do agree but the bigger picture was that gaddafi has been bombing his citizens in the towns and cities for 6 months and they took up arms to fight againgst him to try and protect their family, friends and neighbours. In February the Libyans were desperate for help and the Arabs didn't listen ( although some did) so the international community stepped in. Rightly or wrongly they accepted their help. My husband unlike me hasn't time for this as he is busy with his country men to try and build his country for a better future without gaddafi who ruled with an iron fist. I have many stories of Libya from first hand knowledge. I find everybody that has commented do not know the background of Libya and seem to be on gaddafis side.
I sent a message to Ken on his site to really investigate and not to just go along with the ignorant, also George Galloway has been insultive to a Libyan man on his radio show. He told the man 'I have been to Libya many times' so like he's an expert over a Libyan. Their is a face that is shown to the world and then their is the hidden dirt that even the Libyans until now were affraid to talk about. The vistors to Libya don't get free reign when they go to Libya and have minders so how can they know the truth. Gaddafi has done a really good PR job on the world I'd say and the world believes this tyrant. I have lived amongst the people and I hate gaddafi for what he has done to thousands, my family included and even if he changed his image in the past few years, underneath he stinks. I have tried to post everywhere what I believe to be the truth but many have been closed minded and can't be bothered to look below the surface. I think their hatred for NATO and UN has clouded some peoples judgement. Please keep an open mind about this untill the whole truth comes out.
This is gaddafi at his finest,

This is the Libyan website from Bengazi in English and also has the Libyan news in Arabic live as well. My husband and son in law watch the channel as do many other Libyans now, before they only had gaddafis lie TV stations.
Peace and Blessings to you and yours and a Blessed Eid to you all. :D

Coralann... I' so sorry for the suffering and cruel inhuman treatment of your people. My prayers will be for them to find the inner strength they need to over come this horrible oppression and abuse.... I feel bad that I havent been able to keep up with whats going on over there.... we dont have tv and if I go on the computer it's very brief and I barely have a chance to glance at anything....

There's so much going on everywhere.. I hear people talking about Syria a lot also, but I just dont know enough about the truth of these things to comment on them , thats why I dont usually post anything on the subject, because I dont have a solid connection to the truth or people who live in these places who know the truth.

Many people here in Palestine love rulers like Saddam Hussein, yet he was a horrible ruler so..... I dont really get into politics. I never have an informed opinion of who's who and what's really going on.... My opinion of politics is that there isnt a single uncorrupted politician, government or ruler and the whole system world wide needs a major do-over. I try to spend my time living my life in a positive and balanced way, and instead of telling people how they should be I let them be who they are and hope the example I set is something that will effect them on an inner level and have a positive effect.

I do think the time has come for people to unite and raise their frequencies together so that we may become stronger as a whole. I dont expect the people who are ruling this planet at this time to all of a sudden change their minds and their ways and set us all free, but rather freedom is something we will have to attain within ourselves first and then it will manifest itself outwardly as all inner reality eventually projects itself into the outer reality we are living in. We need to keep moving forward, even if it's only a small step at a time, we should never give up or go away and be quiet, but stand up together in solidarity and be strong in the awareness of our natural right to govern ourselves and live in a way that doesnt destroy our planet.

My heart is forever with you, dear sister.
Kul am w'inti bkhair

Jamilah

Some of the journalists are CIA spies and agents. Listen to this interview. Will give some more perspective towards the conflict.

Jamilah what a refreshing person you are as everyone else has been believing all the propaganda. My husband is Libyan and I have had a great insight to Libya for 32 years. The picture is not what is painted by some media and even alternative media. Wise words about not commenting on things you have no knowledge on, but I can see you digging for the truth if you were able. Now I have seen the other side, some of these alternative news media I have come to the conclusion have also had an agenda like the conventional news. Thankyou also for given me an insight to Gaza and Palestine. May Allah protect you and your loved ones from harm. ;)
Local Predictor, Instead of getting your news from these sources you need to find news from the actual people and if interested try and find a bit of history of the place. As I have said before the Freedom Fighters are just ordinary people doctors, shop keepers, students, business men etc etc and they are all united in trying to protect their families, friends and neighbours. Many Libyans from all over the world have also gone to protect their people and many of my friends husbands are also doing whatever they can to help. If we in UK were in their position we would no doubt do the same. Also not to forget the amazing non Muslims from around who have been showing their suppoet for the Libyan people. Gaddafi has clouded the whole judgment of the whole world as Libya was never really opened up to outsiders. Any body who visited him they had minders and didn't see the truth which was well hidden. I have seen it all through the years but I don't think I am qualified to write a book! The truth will be known but it could take some time, well I certainly pray that the truth is known as it was a brave people that stood up to this monster. People need to open their eyes to the truth and not believe everything they read. One place I have been following throughout is this one and also their is twitter for it as well, many different people are on there from all over the world and have given amazing and much needed support to the Libyans. Pro gaddafis agents have been doing a big PR job right from the start but the truth will shine through.
http://www.facebook.com/LibyanYouthMovement
Also I have many other Libyan sources on websites and friends and family on the ground. The Libyan Youth Movement gave us the up to date news quicker than the media. We all followed the journey of the Freedom Fighters right to gaddafis doorstep of Tripoli and all the horrors that unfolded in those hours and days to follow. I haven't been using western media that much and have stopped going to many alternative websites for news now and have just used Libyan sources and Arab news that are reporting the news and not putting their own spin on it ( even Arab sources, this is when I ask my husband and son in law which is best for the truth)! This whole affair has opened my eyes a lot and I thought they were open before, now I know the friends and the foes!
I only started this subject because I wanted to share the truth with you all but at the end of the day you must make up your own minds but if I have helped to open your eyes I will have done something good and that was my intention. 8-)

Armies march on the same mobius strip. Always. There is no side. Always. Stomping feet deafen the screams of women and children. Always. It needs to stop now.
