Heard about these seeds long ago but it's just come up again. My husband was telling me how these were being used in Libya, you can only use your seeds one year after that you have to buy new seeds every year as they won't grow the new seeds are sterile. This kind of practice can be disasterous for us all as we can then be controlled, for example we can then be starved or threatened etc etc. Here's some info but it seems that Monsanto maybe tried to distance itself from the terminator seeds untill the controversy dies down and then they can slip them in again under the radar so to speak. Found some info as I lost my original articles,

Anybody else have any other info, for example have you heard they are used near you or are going to be used. I just wondered how widespread this practice is as it all has gone strangely quiet untill I heard about it again the other day. 8-)

Glad the info was of interest. This seed vault opened a few years ago ( searched for the info again) and I think their are more around the world although this one is very secure. We better not mess with the guys with the seeds or else we will be cut off from our food supply!

Not everything needs seeds.Fruits don't need seeds.I have 10 m X 10 m land filled with strawberries and you can simply multiply them with no problems.I also have plenty of raspberries and currants that you can also multiply easely. If one has nothing to eat he can survive by eating fruits.I can also gather alot of comestible mushrooms from the woods during the mushroom season. If you don't have anything at all you can boil plant roots from the woods and survive from that just like the old romanian monks.

Thanks for the info it's always good to know some alternatives as a lot of us these days rely on others for our food. Last year we had some problems with food distribution because of the snow simply because we are not self sufficient and rely on the big supermarkets for all our needs, something you'd never do if you lived in the wilds! 8-)
