All I have to say is dont hate the balinese people. This corruption lies square in Australian waters. Im not saying the government in Indonesia isnt perfect but the balilnese people who live here under the current regime are good people. Top down. I live here, in paradice. I think Im one of the luckiest people alive.

EDIT

But they live under Indonesian Law. Only thing going for them is that there are no natural resources to pillage. No gold, no silver, no oil, no copper, no coal and no effing gas. In times like this that would be considered a blessing. Only thing they do have is that the soil is fertile. Now I understand.

I've been stewing about this for days.

You know it wouldn't surprise me if the Indonesian judge was paid off by the Australian government as well, you know just to make sure.. Evil bastards. The amount of Aid given to Indonesia over the years. Indonesia doesn't need the money. Aus aid, what the hell is with that??? I wonder if court transcripts are available?? I speak fluent bahasa. She had a translator with her. Ill bet the translator was appointed by the Australian Consulate to speak simple un-polite bahasa "Indonesian language" . 99.995% of English speaking Indonesians have only a basic grasp of the English language. Talk about lost in translation. Given complex court terminology trying to establish intent of words and definitions. Just boggles the mind how easily it would be to corrupt a case. Poor Michelle left to rot in jail.

If that was the level of corruption back then what hell is it like now? Just trying to process all the major events portrayed in the news over the last 10 years. Pretty much everything shown on ABC. 4 corners BS. . All the BS media spin cycle political nonsense on Insiders. Propaganda BS from the top down all of it.. Your right Max. Your bloody right and now im livid.

EDIT

Added a couple of sentences and cleaned up the punctuation. I am only human.

Double edit.

Just to clarify one FACT. There is no Balinese court. Indonesia runs the courts. Under Indonesian Law. It is that simple.

Why exactly would anyone believe her story over the so-called authorities' story? Could it be that she consented to being where she's at, by identifying as a word/name and/or claiming ownership? If someone else is "the problem", what can we do besides complain? Conversely, if we're "the problem" could we also change and become the solution? If personal accountability and law interest you, I suggest googling "imbatman57"...

Well max is right. The video has to be shown to as many Australians as possible. I've emailed out the link to all my friends. Was talking about it with a couple of the other parents at my daughters school this morning. If anyone is interested there are two Australian consulates in Indonesia. One here in Bali and one in Jakarta. Interesting note about the Australian consulate buildings are now being shared with the Canadian Government. What's all that about??

Here is a link to DFAT Consular Services Charter.

http://www.smartraveller.gov.au/service ... arter.html

At the bottom they have details on how to give feedback.

"We welcome your comments on the Charter and our services as they assist in our review process and help us to identify areas that need improvement. Sharing your experiences may also help other Australians avoid difficulties overseas and appreciate what level of assistance can be provided by consular officers."

Yes I do have feedback. You guys did a piss poor job in assisting Schapelle Corby. Why is she still in Jail and what are you doing to help get her out??

Oh also anyone travelling to Indonesia or any of the other country that has similar laws you might want to keep your own video evidence when you check your bags in at the airport. Because its fairly obvious the government isn't going to help you out if you get in trouble..

MasterChiefa will check out "imbatman57" cheers for the information.

this case is so sad.

to think this woman, if she survives her sentance, is going to miss out on ever having children, unless she is released soon.
1) the cannabis was clearly not hers and nothing to do with her. the evidence is conclusive.
2) who has the authority to stop someone growing a plant produced by god, anyway.

It really shows that you must not go on an airplane with a bag that has compartments that are unlockable.

whats the trust law approach to this case. What would the dean clifford approach be? or would that be too late after pleading, and a conviction?

in a recent chat with vinny eastwood he gave an example of someone from his group stepping into court on cannabis charges, and asking something like - by what authority do you claim to deny me that what was provided by god? and it was case over
