According to this site, I think I agree more with the Masons than I do the Christians...

I've honestly been considering joining for awhile now. Nice big lodge locally...

I think the waiting to be saved attitude comes directly from the worship of someone/something else, rather than believing the only one that can save I, is I.

Did the one called Jesus ever teach to worship him or anything else? This quote is often cited as "proof" that we're meant to worship him:
Quote:
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

How are we supposed to interpret this? Is he saying that we should worship him, live the teachings he taught, or something else entirely? Is it possible to both worship and live the teachings? Honestly I don't know the answers to these questions, and anyone claiming to know is suspect, imho.

Don't even get me started on the belief that heaven/hell are something that come after death...

Quote:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Love this quote; it's mentioned briefly in "Four Agreements":
Quote:
the word is a force, it is the power to express and communicate, to think, and thereby to create the events in your life. What other animal on the planet can speak? The word is the most powerful tool you have as a human; it is the tool of magic. but like a sword with two edges, it can create the most beautiful dream, or it can destroy everything around you. one edge is misuse of the word, which creates a living hell. the other edge is impeccability of the word, which will only create beauty, love and heaven on earth.

greed, power, ego and ultimately negative(evil) control ,always gets in the way of a good intention
is not 'we are change' 'young masons' idealology concepts ?
maybe there is a little hirem in all of us ?

I just don't feel right attaching myself to something "secret". I just don't know.

For the most part, I do agree. Could there be a reason, besides malice, to keep certain things secret? I honestly don't know, but suspect it stems from fear. If it does stem from fear, I feel bad for them, as opposed to being upset. I have done the best I can to expose what I believe were important "secrets", as evidenced by the wiki linked below, but sometimes I question if I've done the "right" thing. I can imagine there are people out there that shouldn't understand what I understand, such as rapists and murders, but could they use any of it with any success anyway? Based on the seemingly perfect operation of "the system" that I'm coming to understand more and more everyday, I have doubts. Not sure how it would work, but I am starting to have faith. Could it be why there seems to be two distinct classes; the peaceful inhabitants and everyone else? Or maybe there are some "Dexter" types out there that get off on murdering the murders...

Coincidentally, I stumbled on this book today: http://www.amazon.com/Meaning-Masonry-W ... 0517331942

Couldn't justify the price at the moment, but I might read a copy from the library when I finish what I'm currently reading. Seemed somewhat interesting...

I was very interested in the freemason movement myself. But I tripped over a lot of info that concerns me a lot.

1. Head of the greatest mafia based crime syndicate family that ever existed. The global banksters that have implemented usury, wars, suffering and terror. I give you the head of the global empire, Mr. Mayer Amschel Rothschild.

It's interesting to note that Mr. Mayer Rothschild is a 33 degree mason a member of the the Supreme Council of the 33rd Degree.

2. An interesting speech by JFK - "The very word secrecy is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment. That I do not intend to permit to the extent that it’s in my control. And no official of my Administration, whether his rank is high or low, civilian or military, should interpret my words here tonight as an excuse to censor the news, to stifle dissent, to cover up our mistakes or to withhold from the press and the public the facts they deserve to know. "

Given the war that JFK was embarking upon against the banksters and the fact that he had only just released legislation giving the US the right to print their own money, it seems that the very two facts - ie, the "Secret Societies", the "Banks" and the "Freemasons" are all inter related ? I might be wrong, but there does seem to be a lot of evidence to suggest this is the case. If so, does one really want to dedicate their soul to a society or group like this ? By definition it is the direct opposite of everything that someone wanting a better society could possibly take part in.

The local masons are the information pipeline to the 1% ;-) It is thru this tentacle that the 1% maintain their "control" everywhere. By all means join if you lack empathy for others....you will go far.
Just saying.

I think it's fair to suggest that any tree should be judged by the fruit it bears. If this is the case, Freemasons are a tree that require extermination. More specifically, there is good evidence that it is a Satanic cult.. The lodge of Sydney for example.(of whom gillard and many other evil tyrants are said to be part of). A video I found very interesting was a senior member claiming Lucifer is God. (this is symbiotic of the belief system incarnate at the higher levels).

Regardless, in my opinion any group which initiates its members and dictates behavior through secrecy is a concern to the goodness of humanity. It is the very same model which has railroaded human evolution for generations.

The only last thing I would like to add is this. Wikipedia seems to be getting a lot of credit for its content. I propose that Wikipedia is a major propoganda tool. I have been using other search engines like duckduckgo and I find it ironic that sites such as "encyclopedia " come up in results. Sites I had forgotten even existed.

Just a thought...

I think it was a few days ago the local radio (in London) was reporting that the Freemasons were opening up their doors for people to peek inside! A Freemason spokesman came on and made them seem like saints and went on about all the good deeds they have and are doing in society. They are really trying to get rid of their secrets reputation but those enlightened will not fall for it so easily, maybe the ones asleep will! Read a book years ago 'The Brotherhood' by Stephen Knight. Now the comments for the book is that it's not that good, are they trying to discredit this guy or is it a fact that he had it all wrong? We know how it works now, for example on a blog or article someone puts comments on to try and discredit what has been written and in the end you don't know if it's the truth or not unless you have insider information or it came from the horses mouth so to speak. 8-)

I read this thread and wrote a rather long reply. It's somewhat a conjecture on the plight of the Masons and other like secret societies. As a disclaimer I sometimes write as if I know things I don't really know about fully and get told I'm preachy and arrogant. So if you get that sense just know I'm a work in progress and slowly getting through that one... Let's hope :)

So disclaimer aside, here's what I wrote (hopefully makes sense):

I'd only want to keep things secret for two reasons - fear of what would happen to me if I disclosed something others wouldn't like, or wanting to hold power over others because I know something others don't so I could manipulate and control them with that. The power thing comes from fear anyway because in me I must feel powerless to want this in the first place. But in any case it's a misconstrued concept of power which believes that separating myself from the force which holds up all of existence, holds up even myself is going to ever give me real power or for that matter fearlessness or freedom or happiness etc. It's the same principle of isolating myself within myself  which we call suppression, all my  power gets devoted to coping with what's kind of an unnatural state at least a manufactured state of being so instead of healing myself I start drawing on others power via manipulating them etc to compensate for the lack of power I've created in myself.

So these Masons likely suffer that dilemma, hence their historical obsession with not only taking resources from other people but getting whatever's offered by those with similar dysfunctional states on other planes. That's why such groups do all manner of deeds because they are not only satiating their own misplaced desires but a whole assortment of even more misplaced desires of others who are in very poor conditions on other dimensions.

All the while though their own substance is being drained and their own energy can't hold themselves up anymore and that's why their own personal condition worsens too. So health problems, aging etc. escalates and again the only way to avoid that temporarily is further propping up by the energy of others seeking to use such people for their own means.

So rather than being in harmony with the source of all this, God and being in a state of giving which that place ensures, they get caught in an addictive state of taking from others which only perpetuates this unfortunate self made trap to the extent that the associated pain that such an existence endures gets too much to bear. So the self imposed suffering for many like this has to reach a point that can no longer be sustained without feeling the avoided grief which initiated the whole thing in the first place and thereby the healing that could have occurred a long time before if the fear state didn't take the helm can actually begin.
