AN EASY WASH OF MANY ILLS: THE TIES THAT BIND US ARE THE TIES THAT CAN SET US FREE
I’ve worked in factories, product processing centers, warehouse and distribution and a call center. In all of the places I have worked, probably more than 25, most of the people seemed to be detached from the work. The types of jobs were always low or no skills, isolating, painful physically and mentally and seemed to be part of a source for a collective stress and isolation.
Doing labor the way that we do it in industrial societies and the way that handle ourselves about labor is part of what makes the society do socially and economically sick and hazardous things in repetitive and problematic ways. Who is going to do the work and who is not is what our world turns itself upside down and inside out and backwards about in a wasteful way.
The factory type locations and the associated employment arrangements are where some of the ills of America are more prominent. This prominence is held within an isolation condition not only due to the division of labor. It is also due to the agreement between worker and employer that the worker will sell time for pay. This type of work formation releases the worker from full consciousness about doing the work though workmanship is not necessarily lost at first glance.
What is clearly lost in doing work that is already calculated with pre-designed (1) duties for decades is the natural training that comes from figuring out the work, the process, the difficulty, and all the other considerations about work. Not only the many discoveries in what it takes to get the work done is lost but the improvements over time that the worker would otherwise experience with new or inventive ways of doing the work is washed of meaning and worth. Workers in this arrangement may never experience the progress and self-discovery that work would bring, or add reasons and options for and about living. By this agreement of selling time in isolating ways the worker has lost an entire relationship to society and community without even knowing it until much older than when he started. The “experience” that employers look for when hiring employees has little resemblance of such relationships and is not part of my discussion choices.
Considering the amount of time spent with and about labor and that so much of our world is built around this basic activity it is concerning that so few people want to spend any time at all talking about it to understand how it influences the world at large. Yet it is absolutely essential that labor workers experiment with division of labor and their own contentment about work.
As long as the average worker continues to think that labor is “boring” or “it just has to be done so I will do what I have to and get a pay check and go home” and refuses to acknowledge the importance of paying attention to every influence that it generates, the hierarchy will be required to use world dominance with elitism climbing to the top. This is the misconception of it all. It is a little mole to climb over and discover that doing it in a right way, and I explain part of only one of what may be many, labor can be uplifting, rewarding and can be part of a path to a more complete society relationship than what we have experienced in our recent past. Your boredom, I desperately beg, is not a condition of things you are not interested in, it has nothing at all to do with the things you find interesting. Your boredom if you have it of work or employment is partly a creation of school that serves the creation of the maximum number workers for the factories, a concept that came out of the disastrous work of Edward Bernays in the 1920s and our particular way of division of labor devised by Frederick Winslow Taylor in the last decades of the nineteenth century.
Collectively humans have allowed management to guide civilizations, possibly for the sake of avoiding labor, into doing labor in particular ways, even when these ways create unnecessary problems and mental and emotional stress and we still do it today. After thousands of years of wars, lies, corruptions and waste we have the potential to change these conditions but we haven’t focused on it yet though a lot of people continue to try. It is a complex challenge because we do not challenge a collective issue related to labor. Workers are still waiting for management to show us what to do and how to do it.
The case I try to make here is why to “bring forth what is within you” as noted later in the book and why it is easier to do than living any other lifestyle choice that can be made today. It is the experiment of the worker by the worker of his own contentment and can involve a collective accumulation of creativity.
Over time this concept of collective accumulation of creativity is very powerful and can be compared to interest rates accumulating to create wealth. Both of these accumulation concepts involve an excess in wealth to begin with, the first being an excess of creativity potential and the second of monetary possession. Both involve some personal management skill although this skill can easily be acquired with a little instruction if needed and a little practice. Both are exciting and uplifting to anyone using them who understand the accumulation concept. Both require the interdependence of trustworthy people and systems.
Therefore in the pursuit of peace and happiness for everybody I suggest a change has taken place since the industrial revolution and that we can add something to our normal intent of “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness”. I added consciousness as one of my pursuits. So I think of the statement; “Life, Liberty, the pursuit of happiness and consciousness”.
Either the life and employment style I describe is easier for you to live or we can’t live it. The concept is only valid if it makes your life better in every way, easier to understand and more pleasant, more accurate reward for what you do and who you are. Either it is more what you perceive the world could and should be or it is invalid.
More elites, workers, managers and government would likely come together in cooperation if the majority of active people (4) use creativity instead of complaints to achieve their goals. We already use concepts involving collective, cooperation, compromising and interdependence. It is the proportions of these things that, if we pursue it, could, would and must change. Making these changes would make life easier and better for everybody who involves themselves.
Without comprehensiveness of attitude we stand with a much smaller chance of retaining freedom. We were given conditional freedom because people at the time of writing The Constitution were comprehensive for their time; we have not been comprehensive for ours. The choice we must make now is an easy choice though it involves complex thinking and therefor seems to be hard. We are often fighting a never ending battle because we fight the guns instead of the battle. For example, in America, we are all doing pretty much the same things, within the context of a variety of topics and activities, in pretty much the same ways. Yet people want “change”, indicating a desire for improvement.
The processes about work that we are weak in, making life difficult for everybody on Earth, involve thinking comprehensively about how to fit the work into daily life and society for stability. The thinking we must do is about work because we spend so much of our time at and for work and it is the thinking that needs improvement. Of course if it doesn’t make life easier for you it is a waste of time to talk about it.
The physical realities or activities chosen to be the ones that are embraced for learning and prospering are part of what determines the results of our efforts in life. Choosing the most basic concepts and activities to be involved in are probably the most productive for gathering and retaining knowledge of what is important. This is why I choose “moving product” as a focus of intent instead of art, economics, math, politics, human rights, citizen responsibilities or fear. The only topic I can think of that come before moving product is the feelings of people, family, friends and people in the community. Moving product is a most or the most basic activity of society and should be the focus of workers interested in politics, economics, society improvements or better social advancement.

Everybody has a little corrupt blood within habits, intent, and overall personal conduct. It is taught and given to us; we collect it from news and society and needs to be filtered either by grinding self-evaluation or by refitting environments and concepts to the times we live. The way the world works is not at all the only way it can work unless we continue to insist on the blind path that comes from the assumption that we have our own thoughts and are in control of them. People have an incredible chance to make work into something more than what we have experienced it to be but it requires that we purge ourselves of misinformation, bad habits and wondering intent.
Collective consciousness does not necessarily mean all people collectively contributing only to the whole like the Borg in the Star Trek Movie. It can also mean small groups learning, preparing, self-training and self-educating to be able to think together for benefits and intent common to each within the group. It can mean one or two or many individual consistencies or like mindedness throughout the whole. It can mean desired collectiveness rather than forced.
I think we are beginning to wonder about and wanting to embrace a new variety of complex choices that makes up society and cooperation. I wonder if this could mean new ways of owning business, managing money, relationships to Government, relating to opportunity and doing work. I think collective conscience would follow collective consciousness.
In this sense there would be plenty of individuality because not all groups work in exactly the same arrangements or for the same purpose. We have different desires and obligations pulling us in a variety of directions. I think collective can mean a lot more than what history books and government show us. Like other topics, there is a good variety and a bad one. The good collective is cooperation and chosen, the bad one is forced.
Each time the world changes the people stay the same. In the groups for Constitutional citizen rights for example, it seems that all groups are about politics and nobody seems to have the idea of re-interpreting work, employment and moving product even if it is true that moving product is probably the most basic and needed part of society. The political field gives input to the common people and in the same way the common people need to give input to the political field about the things that we spend a lot of our time with or the things that have a lot of influence on us. Our lives are so busy and partial that we can’t focus on anything productively.
What I see from the common people is support the way that we have been shown rather than creating our own way, description and evidence. We are still looking to leadership for all the answers.
A new formation of subject matter, it seems may need to be created in order to generate better cohesiveness in the protection of freedom. Avoiding labor is a basic part of humanity, action, moving product and government. My perception is that most individuals and probably planning in many projects consider avoiding wasted labor although avoiding it is a non-subject in the minds of most people and therefore is neglected in interpretation of our world and conduct. Therefore we may need to create this subject as a legitimate factor of analogy, clumsy though it may seem, to understand our world better. We must know any important differences between avoiding labor, avoiding wasted labor and basic labor needs and how these considerations influence our lives and productivity. If such inquiries would make life better it is because adjustments are needed.
Bringing forth our desires and putting them into reality must involve deliberate activity. It is about making what you want becoming what you use or turning your challenges into advantages and such. I think creativity is often thought of as a choice or a talent. In fact if one can make the choice it is more often a process and may involve many choices, steps and compromises.
Actually anyone can train themselves to be creative, comprehensive or attractive but whatever we want to be able to do or be good at, it is often easier and more productive in groups, and for this reason the topic in my discussion includes activity in groups. The choices in what activity to perform to bring a desired result are what need to be discussed at any moment but if too few people have this discussion comprehensively it is harder to keep focus.
The potential I refer to is in the fact that workers generally have far more creative capability than they use. Creativity, like any other skill, is a compounding assembly of memorized technique or process. It builds into a mental machine. Like any other machine it does the work of man so man doesn’t have to do it himself.
My theory is that if we put concepts that Sir Ken Robinson and others describe into action life would be easier instead of harder. Generally you know that whenever you try to do something that is new, challenging and has some risk, life is harder but the times we are living in is totally in reverse of that. What would make life easier for us right now is to do activities that promote better consciousness of ourselves and each other’s work and capability both individually and collectively. “creativity is not some peripheral to our economy, its fundamental to it.” (9)
“If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.” (10) This quote is not just about singing songs in church and bringing forth the praise that is for or to God. It is also about work, creativity and the result we produce with our effort and time and we may find out the hard way that it is utterly true and abundantly clear and always has been.
If workers don’t master their own experience with division of labor, somebody else will. The manipulators of civilization will of course take that role as a needed guidance counselor. The new masteries of division of labor that generated the industrial revolution also created a vast array of flexible and versatile set of choices and leniency conditions to the potential benefit of everybody.
Since the industrial and technical revolution it is not clear that we need, hierarchy, government, money, “positions”, or instruction based religion in the arrangements that they are currently in and used. Until we add a reasonable amount of detail about how and why we need these things and in what context we would do just as well for ourselves to shake off restrictions from them in favor of more flexibility to development of arrangements and concepts that actually work more the way they are meant to.
More comprehensive freedom comes from the inside out rather than from the top down. When freedom is designed from the top down it gradually degrades by stagnancy and government intervention into slavery. Centralized planning, whether it comes from government or private enterprise, arrests the creativity of human capacity and therefor the progress from creativity that comes from the natural tendency of each individual worker to make life or work better.
Most physical labor workers are in the line of work that they are in because they have not mastered the requirement of labor. In other words they have not overcome the normal condition of being self-protective (a very important intent) as well as energetic. Since workers work under the condition of avoiding some part of getting the work done, by design, the mental and personal management part, they must work under supervision of someone who does not avoid this particular part of getting the work done.
If it is true that workers can use the idea of learning to do the types of activities of the entrepreneur they can overcome a ten thousand year old problem, namely, servitude to other men. This activity may also have the effect of no longer creating new corruptions in other parts of society, which never get challenged, such as government and corporate conglomerates. These new corruptions are created because people are acquiring wealth without work. Workers who work in servitude to other men allow these people to use and manipulate hierarchy, government and investment to acquire undignified wealth.
THE GLOBALISTS AND THE COMMONERS
The Globalists have stepped up their pace for global domination because they know that they are increasingly recognized as un-needed. With the internet, common abilities to read in the general public and other technologies we have the most incredibly versatile opportunities for re-designing the arrangements of everything in society. We no longer have to work like slaves to distant and abusive hierarchies because we have no other option. We now have the option to create our own version of society to fit what we have in our heads and hearts. Economics is made, or the particular theory chosen, has been in recent decades, in favor of complication so that the average public will never focus for very long on moving product as a basic part of social and economic behavior.
We are in somewhat of a race between the globalists who feel they must take total control of all major societies and those people who discover, describe and distribute the truth of our world, ourselves and our options. All of the control the elitists have on the rest of us is on paper. It is all just paper. Money, contracts, laws etc. has nothing to do with what has made the world work for centuries if it isn’t legitimate, that is if it isn’t the kind of agreements that promote good for all parties concerned. It is all false power over people, and if the people ever realize it the change that we seek could happen with the drop of a pin.
This struggle between elitists and now globalists and common people has been, until now in appearance, Yin and Yang by nature. The globalists tend to make life seem easier in valueless monetary movements on the grand scale but individually the results never materialize into a lasting compliment of the use of human intelligence or benefit.
The working class tends to comfort in whatever is easiest over generations until the social construction of random (28) and lavish comfort stresses and strains so much through age, decay and deceit that they realize they are being unnecessarily abused. Television, automobiles, bars and entertainment are minor examples of one size fits all approach to peoples with a variety of needs who would probably do some experimenting if we weren’t so consumed with maintaining it all socially and economically.
Still, the desire to redesign societies arrangements varies from person to person, the activity of it is complex and the path stops short the same as working with someone else’s idea whom you do not know and cannot consult. At some point in the process between doing work and living a good life the worker tends to slack just a little until the workers have enough comfort to fool themselves once again.
Again and again a cycle has continued until now. It is becoming clear in recent times that the cycle is coming or can come to an end.
Controlling behaviors exist in sex relationships, family, childhood and can be just a part of growing up for both the controller and controlled. Hopefully most controllers grow out of this behavior in a short time but clearly some do not. The techniques that seem to be used by the elitists over the masses are often very similar as one individual to another although the tools can be entirely different. The controlling techniques used by elitists are far more extensive because controllers gain powers using government, money and media. They are suspected of training each other, “nurturing”, to believe in such realities as some are better than others, and they are the “some” and we are the “others”.
People are consequently preoccupied and often consumed with the happenings of their lives and of the world and cannot notice the larger and easier to address control of both conditions. This is why activist groups preoccupy themselves with politics instead of all human controls of this world. Human controls must be embraced and experimentation must replace jobs as what our society is built around. Get paid when experimentation offers how to generate results and you produce good results! Politics is only what good government uses to keep people from hurting each other but cannot be controlled if the people are not experimenting with moving product and controlling themselves.
We have the ability to create wealth by a rearrangement or re-inventing ownership conditions using more cooperative employment activity as well as overcome a very long held thorn in the side of industrialized nations and peoples provided we are more comprehensive and compromising than we have been in the past about making choices. The technology changes that have taken place in the last 30 years has made available to just about every worker, the chance to re-design his or her relationship to society and employment. As real opportunity and necessity begin to come into available focus people seem to get confused or in doubt that their own perceptions are workable. One factor of project maintenance may be to minimize hierarchy until we know why we need hierarchy as it is currently arranged.
I believe that in the political campaigns that individual people must be separated from overall constructions of our world. People have to be held responsible for their actions but we cannot productively point fingers about who did wrong. We have allowed the destruction of societies because we do not “bring forth” what is within us. For example: how do we know that the elitists are not manipulating simply with the belief , foolish or ridiculous though it may seem, that they must control us because we do not control ourselves? We pollute, go to war, fight each other in so many ways, sure we might say the elitists cause it all but they are groomed into a different story as we are groomed into ours.
THE WORLD DIVIDED
While many of the concepts I propose may seem weird or odd, it is the current activity of men that is weird. It is normal to nature for men to do what men want. It is weird to nature for men to some other unless it achieves some desired result which can only be what one really wants. We have and do compromised what we really want to obey immediate assumptions.
We think and work in old world training, arrangements and information (or just the way the information is put together) but we have new world tools, intents, techniques and machines. The world changed because of the industrial and informational revolutions. Of course it may be the case that we must have one foot in the old world to maintain the use of our intelligence but we must set our minds to new world opportunities and activities.
Still we have allowed our one world to be split, in our minds into two, in favor of the easiness in taking the already existing arrangements, whatever they are, over the constant necessity of plowing into discovery for the sake of improvement and retaining past improvements. The difficulty in making improvement to society is the thinking. The easy part of discovery is the thinking because it is fun and exciting. It would not be so hard to productively match up the two items of improvements that are needed and discovery provided we add compromise as a skill of respect and trust to each other. In comparing what is easy or hard we must compare it to existing conditions.
Love for one another makes the future in reach of present options and the task that needs to be figured out next, a current reality to live and work with. Compromising is the tool to make these combinations flow in harmony with whatever work needs to be done.
What is the part we can take to effectively maintain freedom? Consider defining your own line of work and describing your experience with it after some experience in the style of group study I recommend. Consider if your line of work needs redefining. Use this pattern as an example of a path that you may follow: Name it, Describe it, Process it, use it. By this effort and using an effective work plan or path we will add valuable and recognizable information to the existing description of why freedom is important and how to acquire and maintain real freedom.
Old world thinking: culture, limitation and obedience training that keep us away from thinking in terms of here and now fully and complimentary to existing reality and opportunity. This includes institutions, conditions, positions, obedience to hierarchy education, people managing people, central government, locations and theory that tells us not to change is old world thinking.
New world thinking: culture and discussion that allows us to work and think in the here and now productively.
Old world activities: hierarchy, obedience to men, positions of employment, school and government, religion, sports and other time wasting activities as we know them.
New world activities: division of labor experiments, discussion, self-guided education, employments that are more self-managed, working with ideas that are close to you and conform better to your needs, and local farming compliments and cooperation activities such as permaculture. New world activities are the ones that nurture you to work and think more comprehensively and act more consciously.
Though both new and old concepts already exist the proportions are out of balance and distorted. Therefore a basic part of technique is to spend more of our time in the new world activities and less time in the old world activities on a continuing basis as our experience with redesigning work and living get better over time. In the process of learning new activity concepts we will do best to try to identify the concepts that are outdated and make new ideology to replace it with.
Division of labor has been in new world activities for thousands of years because it makes life better and easier for everybody. Hierarchy has been in old world for thousands of years naturally because once power over others is acquired and used it is difficult to give up. Consequently hierarchy often must dip into new world accomplishments and steal from accomplishment accumulations to maintain old world easiness and convenience.
Speaking of hierarchy in this way is not intended to condemn management or government. It does not condemn lower class or workers. Just about everybody who does work does it in divided ways depending on what we understand of it and how well disciplined we are. Overpowering the natural tendency to “take it easy” is a difficult thing to do for anybody sometimes even when needed. “Taking it easy”, when desired without stepping on someone else’s toes is a skill that is far better done using technology than people although technology hasn’t yet and probably never will replace this leaning towards or into abuse of people. Systems, arrangements and personal willpower are the tools I can recognize as what can overcome this condition.
The Constitution of the United States
The Constitution doesn’t stop the degradation of America from anything that we ignore collectively and consistently over multiple generations.
What is happening in America is not simply a band of tyrants taking over. The larger force of nature is taking over after generations of neglect by the majority of people being consumers instead of problem solvers, citizens and intelligent adults the preconditioning of which started long before. The band of tyrants took over long ago and the event may have happened over many generations of confusion from scarcity and war.
Complicated manipulations, developments and continued use of The Council on Foreign Relations, the use of concepts from Edward Bernays, the control of elections and elected presidents, the creation and continuation of The Federal Reserve Bank, etc. are carryovers from previous conditions. Without either a willful acceptance of the people for some benefit, which history shows is not the case, a major mistake of massive proportions of the people, which doesn’t exist, or a long held subtle and relatively unknown influence occurs regularly creating minor slips in conditions, situations, results, methods, desires, culture, training, upbringing, and other relationships, there is no way that a group of corrupt people could secretly take over the United States.
The Constitution is a very well thought out set of attributes and limitations that effectively bar the new incoming of any corruption. Over time such corruptions are surely to be discovered and put down provided people are active in solving their own collective and individual problems.
Often the tyrants and menace has been made up stories that try to explain why a natural or war disaster happened that give the listener nothing to act upon. Such is the case with religion, fairytales, and other old sayings. Perhaps that was the whole idea long ago but these people are not living and there is nobody in particular to blame productively for accumulated corruptions. I think a better guide to how to feel or handle myself about information and news is that if it helps me achieve my goals I want to spend my time with it, if it interferes with my goals then I want to spend less time with it.
Therefore tyrants are just another dysfunctional group in the populace and a noticeable indication that something we are doing may need correction. We must act upon this information. We need tyrants because so many of us don’t pay any attention to the waste.
How do you feel? Is a productive and basic question: Is the work that you do something that you always felt is the right work for you to do, or did you compromise your feelings, your capabilities and you're intents to conform to the job? Do you feel you serve an end user when you do your job? When you are in church do you feel like you are living and being taught Gods will? When you are or were in school was your time filled with curiosity, did the subjects make you curious or was your time more about meeting requirements and keeping up with the teacher? Are you learning to move into the life you want eternally or make it to the finish line and acquire a position? If it is the latter you are finished.
Project list: (one) Discuss starting a community writing activity. The objective of the writing activity is to learn to clarify what is most important in our current reality. It is on an assumption that we need to look at ourselves and our world differently than we have in the past. Writing helps to verbalize what is on our minds, focus on what is most important, and report on a chosen topic or conclusion more confidently and completely.
I think in all “civilized” societies we have plenty of trickle down effects but not much trickle up control. Trickle down and trickle up must come together if it is to ever become beneficial to everybody. For this to benefit occur trickle up needs to be created. Some control or actually trickle up effect may exist but it isn’t well organized. If it is to be organized it has to be created from the bottom up not from leadership. Leadership has many times attempted to provide or deliver this control. The writing project is meant to create the conditions that foster this trickle up affect. Like many other complex activities, the activities involving this type of work gets very simple once a participant gets use to the idea of what trickle up is and how easy it is to do as it becomes a part of life.
Project (Two) Our Cognitive Biases and Critical Thinking Literacy
(Self-but-not by-your-self-Training in Perception and Thinking and protecting yourself from the “Dark Arts” explained in the book but not this post) Selective subjects to be trained in can make the difference between a successful first flight experiment and a broken and crashed vehicle.
My guiding light to what information is important is to question if it helps me figure what action to take or how to do so. Questions mount up to act as a filter to what to target and is often much easier to work with than the information itself.
While these analogies are as complete as I can make them they are inadequate for a complete presentation of what is important and what needs to be discussed because the topics are a collective experience and I am not so well educated to think, process and present such complex and twisted material or subject matter. This subject matter actually needs to be discussed and experimented with and written by several groups of people and workers oriented for the purpose of knowing what our current opportunities are and how to approach them, how to interpret them and such.
Many of the words and sentences need further explanation although I feel inadequate to constantly dig deeper for more analogy until I get more help from a variety of people with experience and a history of some study. Still the terms and statements need to be brought up for discussion.
Making the case for each individual worker to “bring forth what is within you” is complicated because it involves so many dynamics and details that are taught otherwise by well meaning “teachers and friends” but after the case is made it can be rejected or used. If rejected and I understand and agree at least I can finally move on to some other concept for living and I am looking forward to either result. Dwelling on this if it is wrong or just won’t work is wasteful and I want to know the truth. I don’t feel like I wrote this book. I just read the book that needs to be written and write what I read.
The videos references below are just a few of the many references to how complex it is to make a change in our society today unless it just happens as a result of God or nature or some external force. The reason I point this out is that we must be as fundamental and basic as possible in everything we do in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as well as protecting these rights. This approach is not only necessary but also enjoyable, the path of least resistance and would offer the best chance of producing the results we want.
