How do I tell the difference between Swine Flu and a common flu? How do I tell the difference between Swine Flu and the common flu? I am having flu like symptoms and have been in contact with someone from the US but he isn't sick.
There isn't really a difference between the two. The symptoms are identical.
The only way to tell for sure is to have blood tests and the like done, which most clinics have not been doing since October or November (they want to be able to distort the numbers, claiming all people suffering from flu-like symptoms had the swine flu specifically, when 80% of all flu-like symptoms are not even caused by any flu virus, let alone H1N1). I'd just not worry about it, get plenty of rest and drink a lot of fluids. If you have the means I've heard colloidal silver has good results, or vitamin D3 supplements (if you can find potent enough ones). But you shouldn't have much to worry about unless you have an abnormally weak immune system. Don't get stressed out over it, just deal with the symptoms as best you can and understand that it won't harm you unless you let it. Stress and fear are among the most potent tools used to weaken our immune systems.
