Hah. That was funny as hell. Someone was going in and out the studio they filmed that in. funnier then the first man on the moon footage. Retards...

The oldest trick in the book to reduce the sharpness of a live video image and still the most effective.

What is happening is that a camera is filming a monitor in a darkened room which is showing the oil leak. Somebody just came into the room and we see the reflection on the monitor. The reason for this is so we cannot see certain details of the oil spill.

Even with modern technology you can unscramble a digitally blured image. But you cannot sharpen a crappy image to begin with. This was done with all the Apollo live footage "from the moon" (lol) so we could not see the wires and other soundstage stuff. There was no technical reason why they apollo images were not much much sharper than we were given. Likewise with this leak. That image from the sea floor should be crisp and sharp. But BP are hiding details on us.

I suspect there is oil gushing out of the sea floor behind the well head.

Thanks for the explanation AfterSheepleStreet, I was trying to figure out the reason for this and why they would film a monitor and what you said makes alot of sense

Yes, I suspect there is oil seeping and gushing out of seafloor all around the well head and maybe for miles around too. I have looked at other feeds and seen oil floating in from behind the were the camera was pointing. It's a complete disaster on every level.

Personally to me it looks more like a curtain than a door, but that doesn't really change much does it?
